City of Casey Major Sponsor
The Rotary Club of Narre Warren are pleased to announce that The City of Casey is once again a proud major supporter of the 2018 Mayoral Charity Golf day on November 23rd at Berwick Montuna Golf Course. Many great thanks to the City of Casey for supporting Rotary Community Projects in Narre Warren and the local community.
Fortnightly Meetings
As of the new Rotary year starting July 2018, the Rotary Club of Narre Warren will be meeting on a fortnightly basis rather than a weekly basis. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. On nights where there is no formal meetings, sub committees can meet on a more informal basis for planning of events or projects in their portfolio. This new system has a number of benefits 1) It makes it easier for new or existing members who find in difficult to attend every week. 2) Project planning can now be performed on Wednesday off nights, negating the need to have multiple Rotary meetings in the one week. 3) It creates a point of difference with other Rotary Clubs in the area. Potential new members who would find a weekly meeting difficult to attend can now join Rotary Narre Warren and attend on a fortnightly basis. We are currently meeting at 6.30 pm at the Narre Warren Bowls Club for club meetings and a two course dinner.
We are proud to support youth groups in our community
Rotary’s calendar includes monthly Themes: The Theme for May is “Youth Service Month”.. The Rotary Club of Narre Warren helps the Operation Newstart Casey. Operation Newstart is a personal development program for ‘at risk’ youth aged between 14 -16 years, who reside within the City of Casey. We also accepted an exchange student from Bremen in Germany. Moreover, this year we sponsored a student enabling her to attend the National Youth Science Forum and sponsored an outbound student to stay in Düsseldorf, Germany for one year.
